This time of year, phishing schemes are plentiful.  Be wary of communications that implor you to act immediately, offer something that sounds too good to be true, or ask for personal information.

Remember these best practices:

  • Don’t click on suspicious links. Hover over the link to see where it will take you before clicking.
  • Double check the address bar.  Often times, criminals will purchase similar names to capture information due to a typo.  Did you type in www.favoritestore.com or www.faavoritestore.com ?
  • Always log off your computer, and never auto save credit card information
